Wii Fun & Randomness

Jason came home this weekend for a short visit. He came on Sunday and left early Tuesday morning. It's so nice having him home but the time just flys by and it's hard to say bye I hate it. I can't wait for this to be over and I think the boys are starting to get anxious for it to be over too. We love you Jason and miss you already...
On Monday while he was here we decided to buy a Wii we have been wanting to for a while but haven't done anything about it. We finally gave in and bought one. It's been a blast I even love it. I am really excited to get the Wii fit. Tallin and Colt have been having a blast with it too. Tallin plays all the games and Colt just has a remote thinking he is playing since he can't really do it yet. Tallin plays along really well he plays Colts guy and tells Colt what a good job he is doing. He is so cute. Colt will catch on soon enough. It's been really fun I thought I might regret it at times when I have to tell Tallin that's enough, he needs to stop. I was afraid that he would want to play before school making hard to get him to school but he has been really really good. When I tell him that's enough he says ok and gets off. He hasn't even asked to play it before school we did tell him he would not be able to play with it before school. So all and all it's been a great purchase. We will see if my feelings remain the same in a week or two.

Jason and I were laughing all weekend at the funny and random things the kids would say so I wanted to share a few of my favorites. Some of you have met Colts imaginary pet fly Fido well it seems that Fido is now pretending to be a dog. So Colts imaginary pet fly is pretending to be dog. Colt is so funny and he has got quite the imagination. Fido often travels to Teishas house to visit and you would think it would be to see Jaden and Landon since those are Colts "best buddies" but it's always to see Teisha and I think that is so cute. We were coming out of nursery Sunday and there was a dad there to pick up his kid and Colt bends down right in front of him making him almost trip to pick up Fido. He looks at me and says "Look mom I got Fido" the guy looked at us like we were kind of crazy but he was probably just wondering who's or what is Fido?
Tallin wanted to stay home on Monday to hang out with his dad so he was trying to talk Jason into letting him but instead of saying absent he says "dad it's ok to be abstinent, so and so (I can't remember the kids name he said) is abstinent" it was cute. He still went to school though.
We were driving down the road the other day and Tallin was telling me that when Jesus comes back down to earth everyone is going to be nice like the dog won't chase the cat anymore and then he says and I will beable to speak Spanish again. I thought that was so funny because of living here in El Paso and it was so random he is excited to speak spanish again.
And last but not least a few nights ago Colt woke up with a bad dream and Jason went in there and Tallin was saying "it's ok Colt just kneel and say a prayer then Heavenly Father will help you not to be scared, if you kneel I will say the prayer for you." At like 3 in the morning Tallin was trying to help Colt. It was so sweet. I love my Tallin he is the the best boy and the best big brother!!!

Teishas Baby Girl

Hey everyone my friend Teisha had her baby today and since she is stuck in the hospital I thought I would post some pics of Brooklyn for her friends and family to see. She is so cute and it makes me want a baby so bad :) Teisha is doing well and looks GREAT. Jaden and Landon are doing good too I think they are going to love their new little sister. It will be so awesome for her to have 2 big brothers to watch over her and protect her. I am excited for them. But I still can't believe how tiny she is. Brooklyn Astle she weighed 5 lbs 13 oz, 18 3/4" long. So sweet! Good Luck guys we love you!

Where do they come up with these things?

So lately Colt has been saying some of the funniest things. He's with me most of the time and I don't think it's stuff I say so I wonder where does he get the things he says? For example he will tell me something and it doesn't really matter what it is but then he will add "my dad told me that" or if he is with someone else "my mom told me that" most of the time it makes no sense so it always makes me laugh. My most favorite right now is "I am just fine" he says it when I am least expecting it and even if I shouldn't laugh because it's totally inappropriate I can't help it. We will be sitting down to eat dinner and I will tell him to come and he will look at me and in his sweet little voice with his cute little innocent face he says " no, I am just fine" We were kneeling down for prayers last night and I told him to come and he says it again "no, I am just fine" I could not help but laugh. One of those things that catches you off guard. I've come to expect it when we eat or when I want him to do something he doesn't want to but the prayers was the first.
Tallin on the other had will use these super big words and I sometimes wonder if he even knows what the mean or if he just likes saying them. 98% of the time he does use them in correct sentences. We were playing a game, hide and go seek in the dark, and I scared him really good and he says "Mom you frightened me" frightened really? What 5 year old says that. Another one he was on the phone with his grandma Kim and he says he is going to be courageous like batman. So funny I love my kids, life would be pretty boring without them..

I did it!!

I finally did it. I started a blog yeah for me :) I am actually really excited. I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now but haven't been able to because I haven't had the right computer to do it. On Friday my sweet friend Aja came over and sold me a laptop I LOVE IT! The first thing I did was grab my camera and download my pics. So I was officially ready to start a blog. It will encourage me to take more pics and the boys will love that.

I hope everyone had a good Valentines day. Ours was good considering it was just me and the boys. We ordered a heart shaped pizza and watched the movies they got in their Valentines bag Friday night. Then Saturday we just hung out and went to the mall and got Tallin a few new school clothes. It was a good day. I wish Jason would have been here with us then it would have been prefect.

Jason is enjoying Boston and doing very well there. We don't know when or where (officially) we will be going so we are just trying to make the most of this time. I think I do a pretty good job and keeping the boys entertained while he is away. I am just happy to be home with them and I am really enjoying it. But I can't wait to be all together again. Tallin always says if he had a wish it would be that we could all be together again in the same house. It kind of breaks my heart but he is still doing so good. We have a calender that has the days he gets to come home and visit, everyday we mark off the day so they can see as it gets closer and closer to when we comes home they love it and get really excited when its 1 to 2 days before. I think it helps. Colt especially loves the calender he goes to it every day and points to the day Jason comes and says "that's the day dad comes". This time will go fast and then we will be together again. I am so thankful that he gets to come home every other weekend even if it a short visit. Once it's all said and done it will be worth it.

I hope everyone is doing good. I will try hard to keep this updated and fun!
