Weekend FUN!

Weekend fun with lots of pictures. Friday night the boys and I went to the circus with Dylan, Teisha and her boys and had a blast. I still can't get over this clown that road a little tiny bike seriously this bike was probably the size of his hand you had to have seen it but it was amazing. The whole circus was a lot of fun.
Jason flew in late Saturday night I love having him home its so nice I can't wait for all this to be behind us and be back together again. We are thinking it won't be to much longer. Right now he is working in California so he gets to come home every weekend and it's awesome I LOVE it! Monday we went to the movie Night at the Museum 2. It was so funny we really enjoyed it. I would say it was just as good if not better then the first. After the movie we hit a carnival that was right there. The boys had a blast. Then we went to dinner at BJs it was so good it was the first time I have been there and I got the nachos they were HUGE when I was done it didn't even look like I put a dent in them so big and so good.. Here is all the pics.

I thought this picture was funny because me and Tallin have the same weird face going on..

The boys loved their circus hats they came with the cotton candy yummm...

Colt on the boat ride. He may look sweet and innocent but he kept trying to play in the water I thought he was going to fall out and he took his seat belt off little stinker!

Tallin coming down the big slide he loved it. When I was little I got to the top of the slide and got scared and didn't want to go down so I tried to jump off the side at the top I don't know what I was thinking not so smart on my part. So I was a little nervous for Tallin.

The boys won guitars they were so excited.

The boys and their daddy.

Check out those nachos so good.

Meatball Sub Recipe

For all of you who have asked for the meatball sub recipe here it is. The recipe is actually on a link here on my page under the food sites I love then under For The Love Of Cooking I love love love her recipes she is amazing. I found it under sandwiches. I actually made them again Sunday night for the Elders and tweaked the recipe a little. I didn't add the fennel seeds only because I don't like them they have a really strong licorice taste that I just didn't love. Other then that they were perfect. I had potato wedges and a salad for a side and it was a great dinner. Lemon cheesecake for dessert. I think it was a hit. :)

A little update. I didn't end up going to Chicago with Jason he didn't even end up going. It was a bummer both of us were really looking forward to the trip. But we have new things coming a long we might be all back together again soon so he had to go and check out an area. So it was sad but good. I can't really say where just yet but as soon as we know for sure I will let you all know.

Want one of these...

No I don't mean one of my boys although the way the last few days have been going I may take an offer j/k ;) What I do mean is a meatball sub yummmm.. On a homecoming date in high school one of the guys mom made us meatball subs for lunch and they were amazing. Since then I have thought about that amazing meatball sub often silly I know who thinks about food that much? But it was so good, I finally broke down and found a recipe that looked really good and decided to try it. They turned out really really yummy. I plan on making these a lot more. Jason is coming home this weekend so we are going to feed the Elders on Sunday maybe they would enjoy a good hearty meatball sub?? Here's a pic although I am not sure it does them justice.

Tallin had a field trip to the zoo today that I volunteered to help with and was able to take Colt. It was a lot of fun I think Tallin really liked that I was there and I enjoyed spending a little extra time with him and all his school friends. I didn't get many pictures but I got a couple of the boys in their cute hats that Grandpa B and Grandma Goose bought them last summer they looked so cute in their hats. I also got a couple of Tallin and a few friends not his whole class.

Like I mentioned before Jason is coming home this weekend and I am so excited. He flies in Saturday night which is a nice change then the usual Sunday. I am so excited that he gets to go to church with us. Then on Tuesday I am flying with him to Chicago he's got a meeting there so I am going with him for a day or so. I fly back here on Thursday. I am so looking forward to this trip I can't hardly wait. I usually get really anxious about these trips with leaving the boys and stuff but I am just excited. Our friends Teisha and Dylan are going to watch the boys for us and I know they are going to have fun and be in good hands. They actually can't wait for me to leave (I think they are sick of me) so they can have a sleep over with their buddies. I can't wait it's a much needed break. Thank You Teisha for watching the boys for me you are awesome (picture Rhino from Bolt saying awesome lol)

ps.. sorry that post is all over the place there are 3 different posts all in one :)

Tallins Cast

Well Tallin has his green cast and he is pretty excited about it. He was so cute when they were taking the splint off they would start cutting and he would get all worried and say "don't cut my fingers off" the doctor was laughing at him he is such a worrier. He can't wait for Jason to come this weekend so he can show him his cast :)

Happy Mothers Day!

It may get hard and I may get frustrated but I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. I love being a mom and I love my boys. Thank you boys for being such sweet, caring, and busy little boys. I am so happy to be your mom!
I was reading a book last night that my sweet mother in law gave me -thank you Kim I LOVE it- and there was this quote in it. I just thought it was so good, even brought me to tears is says.
"I'd rather be a mother than anyone on earth. Bringing up a child or two of unpretentious birth...I'd rather tuck a little child all safe and sound in bed than twine a chain of diamonds about my {carefree} head. I'd rather wash a smudgy face with round, bright, baby eyes than paint the pageantry of fame or walk among the wise. "

The results are in

Tallins little wrist is broken. We ended up going to Urgent Care this morning and they took the X Rays and said it was broken. We have to go see a specialist now where they will put the cast on but that doc can't get us in till Tuesday which I am very frustrated with. The doc at Urgent Care put a splint on it and wrapped it up good so I suppose he will be fine till Tuesday. I just wish there was more I could do for the pain. I feel really bad for him but he is being such a tough little cowboy!

Nothing Sweeter Then This..

Two boys sleeping side by side. Even though Tallin would beg to differ. Colt is such a kicker it drives poor Tallin crazy. When Colts crib was still up he never wanted to sleep in it he always wanted to sleep with Tallin so one day I decided to just get rid of it because it was just taking up space. Now Tallin and Colt sleep together every night and Tallin complains about Colt kicking him every night I feel kind of bad for him. I do love at night when they are going to sleep how they lay there and talk and laugh with each other it makes me smile. Sometimes it carries on for way to long and I try to separate them and they hate it. I really think when it comes right down to it they like sleeping together. It will be better when they have their own beds but it the same room..

This week has been a busy one. Tallin woke up Saturday night with a high fever and not feeling good he was crying about his head hurting. So Sunday morning Jason ( yay Jason was home) took him to the doc and he had an ear infection. Lucky for him he got to stay home from school Monday and Tuesday. He returned back to school Wednesday and had a good day. He was actually excited to go back today and I had a long list of things I needed to get done today. As soon as I got to the mall to get some errands done the school nurse calls and says Tallin fell and hurt his wrist and I needed to go pick him up. So I pull Colt away from the playground and we head to the school. Tallin was very upset I mean shaking, bawling teeth chattering and everything, poor baby. He takes the ice off his wrist and it was a little bruised and swelling up so after about 10 mins of me trying to settle him down the nurse kicks us out. I brought him home and gave him some Ibuprofen. I've been trying to decide all day whether or not to take him to Urgent Care or the ER to get it x rayed. I am not sure it is broken one minute he seems fine then the next minute he will totally brake down says it hurts won't even let me touch it. I've had it wrapped all day and it's pretty swollen so I think I will take him to the doc in the morning. He's sleeping now so that has got be a good sign right?

Baseball Player Or Quarterback?

What happens when you take this

Plus this

You get THIS

Yesterday we were getting ready to leave and Colt wanted me to put on his shoe. He sat down in front of me and I told him to hand me his shoe but instead of just handing it to me like a sweet little boy he decided it would be more fun to throw it at me, hitting me right on the cheek hard I of course got mad it HURT. I didn't stay mad for long he was so sorry and kissed me all better. Jason came in that night so I keep teasing him that people are going to think he is beating me he comes to town and I end up with a bruise on my face. I have decided that Colt has a pretty good arm. Maybe we have a future baseball player or quarterback on our hands?
